Fault Management

AKIM Arıza Yönetimi

Fault Reporting and Response Management

Collects fault reports from the call center, web and SCADA into a single pool; locates the fault on the map, assigns it to the most suitable crew, follows the field response on mobile and produces outage reports.

AKIM Fault Management runs the entire lifecycle of faults on the distribution grid — from report to closure — on a single map-based structure. Reports to the call center, notifications from web and mobile channels and events from SCADA are gathered into the same fault pool, and duplicate reports from the same area are merged under a single fault record.

Every fault record is located on the map and linked to the related grid asset. The record is assigned to the most suitable crew based on crew location, skills and current workload. The field crew opens the fault in the mobile app, gets directions and records response steps, photos and materials used directly from the field; in areas without coverage the app works offline and syncs once connectivity returns. Headquarters follows open faults, crew status and response times on a live map.

Closed faults turn into outage statistics: SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI indicators and regulatory outage reports are produced by region and period. Through SAP and subscriber system integration, subscriber data flows into the fault record and fault and material data flows back to corporate systems. AKIM Fault Management builds on the field experience of the fault management application we developed and maintain for İGDAŞ, and runs on the same map and asset records as AKIM Saha and GeoEner.

Capabilities

What AKIM Arıza Yönetimi does

Module by module.

  • call center · web · mobile · SCADA

    Multi-channel fault reporting

Call center reports, web and mobile notifications and SCADA events are gathered into the same fault pool. Duplicate reports from the same area are merged under a single fault record, with the reporting subscribers kept linked to it.

  • location · grid asset

    Map-based fault records

Every fault is located on the map and linked to the related grid asset. Open faults are followed on the map by region and severity.

  • location · skills · workload

    Crew assignment

The fault is assigned to the most suitable crew taking location, skills and current workload into account, with priority faults moved to the front of the queue.

  • directions · photos · materials

    Mobile field app

The field crew opens the fault on mobile and gets directions, recording response steps, photos and materials used from the field. Where there is no coverage the app works offline and syncs once connectivity returns.

  • live map · response time

    Live monitoring from headquarters

Open faults, crew status and response times are followed on a single screen, with delayed faults brought to the fore.

  • SAIDI · SAIFI · CAIDI · regulatory

    Outage reporting

Closed faults become outage statistics; SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI indicators and regulatory outage reports are produced by region and period and exported as PDF and Excel.

  • SAP · subscriber system

    Enterprise integration

Subscriber data flows from the subscriber system into the fault record, while fault and material data flows to SAP, removing manual data entry and double records.

Process

How It Works

  1. 1

    Report — a single pool

Reports from the call center, web, mobile and SCADA land in the fault pool and duplicates are merged.

  2. 2

    Locate — the map

The fault is located on the map and linked to the related grid asset.

  3. 3

    Assign — the right crew

The most suitable crew is chosen by location, skills and workload, and the fault is sent to it.

  4. 4

Respond — mobile in the field

The crew opens the fault in the mobile app, records the response with photos and material details, and closes the fault.

  5. 5

    Report — outage statistics

SAIDI/SAIFI/CAIDI indicators and regulatory outage reports are produced from closed faults, and the data is passed to SAP.

Key Benefits

  • All reporting channels on one screen
  • The most suitable crew is dispatched to each fault
  • The response is recorded from the field with evidence
  • Outage reports are produced without manual compilation

Who Is It For?

  • Electricity distribution companies

Manage the process from fault report to response in one structure and produce outage indicators and regulatory reports without manual compilation.

  • Gas and water distribution utilities

Gather emergency reports into a single pool, dispatch the most suitable crew and record the response from the field with evidence.

  • Call center and operations teams

See the status of a subscriber's reported fault instantly and follow open faults, crews and response times from one screen.
